		Midland Metal purchases wire in 3000lbs “spools” which are sourced directly from wire drawing suppliers. We straighten and cut-to-size in-house as a cost-saving, as well as, quality control measure. Our automated CNC 3-D wire forming equipment fabricates wire right from the coil and delivers completed wire forms on a conveyor to the next process. Beyond our sophisticated wire forming ability, Midland Metal Products has enormous capacity in wire (and sheet metal) resistance, otherwise known as “spot” welding. Midland Metal Products has 38 spot welding machines with capacities from 30kVA to 150kVA. Midland also operates an automatic CNC spot welding “robot” that uses a 2-sided rotary loading table that is capable of weldments as large as 50” x 84” containing as many as 67,000 welded intersections per piece. Our robotic Spot welder creates mats and grids at least 600% faster than “industry standard” operations.
